We offer a hybrid of on line distance learning and hands on short courses designed to fit your schedule and budget. Hands on courses are scheduled on evenings, weekends and one week blocks at our shop at Infineon (Sears Point Raceway) Raceway in Sonoma, California.
CDX Automotive Overview
The new CDX Automotive Automotive Resource Kit online program is the
most innovative, comprehensive, versatile, and by far the most
user-friendly set of automotive resource materials ever offered. We use
the CDX Automotive Resource Kit as a MANDATORY PRE-REQUISITE because it allows self-paced distance learning. Students enter the hands-on courses at the same minimum base line - no one can hold the workshops back. On-line courses are open enrollment - start any time. At $150.00 for a 12 month subscription, the CDX Automotive Resource Kit is the leastexpensive and deepest automotive training resource in the world. Based on ASE standards, the course is also a great ASE test prep tool!

Carbon fiber and composites
Race cars are made of composites - fiberglass, carbon fiber, Kevlar. For 2010, ProRaceTech is offering resin infusion composite courses.
"GARAGE BOB":
"Garage Bob" , four days, (two weekends), No prerequisites.
$595 each weekend - buy both and save $100. Additional expense may arise if there is a ticketed event at Infineon that weekend - contact us for details.
This course is designed for entrepreneurs and hobbyists interested in making composite parts at home.
Students will learn how to make a mold and parts from that mould. Additionally, students will learn what they can and cannot make; what tools and equipment to purchase and where to buy them.
This is the class to take to learn how to make carbon fiber and composite goodies to sell on eBay !

Founded by Mike Hewland in 1957, Hewland Engineering invented the bespoke racing car gearbox and it has supplied the worlds racing car constructors ever since.

This is our basic trainer for entry level mechanics. We have trained students on this very simple box for years and many of those students became gearbox specialists.

Engine Buiding
In 2010, ProRaceTech and George Beavis Machine Shop will partner to deliver a unique race engine building program. Qualified students will learn from veteran engine builders some of tips and techniques that lead to long life, competitive engine building.
Fabrication

Beginning in 2010, qualified ProRaceTech students will be offered the opportunity to learn necessary fabrication techniques.
Fab. classes will include MIG & TIG welding, torch metal lathe, mill work, break & shear hands on training.
Team Internship

Hands On experience is the best teacher.
In 2010, ProRaceTech will offer qualified students the opportunity to experience the 'real world' of racing as an intern on a race team.
Students will travel with the team and will be track side - having a chance to live the life of a ProRaceTech doing what they do at the discression of the team manager, crew chief and lead mechanics.
You'll receive feedback from form the team and your ProRaceTech career coach.

1.Correctly identify AN, NAS and MS fasteners markings and properties.
2.Correctly size AN fasteners using AN bolt gauge and size charts.
3.Correctly define shear vs. tension.
4.Correctly define torque and describe correct methods.
5.Correctly identify hose ends, lines and their uses.
6.Correctly assemble high pressure lines .
7.Correctly identify and use safety wire, chemical threadlocker properties and application standards.

At this time ProRaceTech offers hands on seminars for persons interested in auto racing solely for avocational recreational purposes.

We have access to several race cars for Technician training - not for driving.
